About

Nice to meet you.

I'm Lindsay, a Registered Psychotherapist based in Ottawa, Ontario, licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO #17011). I hold a Master's Degree in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint-Paul University in Ottawa, and have worked across a range of community settings that have deepened my understanding of the many different ways people experience struggle and change.

I am currently accepting new clients and would be genuinely honoured to connect and explore whether we are a good fit for your therapeutic journey.

My clients would describe me as compassionate, genuine, and direct. That's what I'm going for.

Why Couples Therapy Works

While individual therapy creates real and meaningful change, I was drawn to couples work because the patterns, emotions, and dynamics are happening right there in the room. There is something powerful about helping two people move from feeling stuck, disconnected, or misunderstood, to feeling seen and understood by each other again.

Over time, I came to see that many of the struggles people bring to therapy are rooted in relationships. Working with couples allows me to support not just individual growth, but the relationship itself. Helping partners understand the cycle they're caught in, strengthen their connection, and find new ways of relating that feel safer and more secure, is some of the most meaningful work I do.

Outside the Office

I'm a mother to two wonderful humans. Becoming a parent was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life, and also one of the hardest. Each of my children entered the world differently, and each postpartum journey brought its own joys alongside real challenges.

Like many parents, I experienced moments of deep connection and gratitude, but also periods of adjustment, uncertainty, and postpartum mood struggles. I have also navigated my own experiences with trauma, self-esteem, and significant life transitions, and those experiences have shaped me as much as any training has. They remind me every day of the courage it takes to ask for support, and the growth that can come through vulnerability and imperfection.

These experiences aren't separate from my work. They're part of why I show up the way I do.

Outside of sessions, you will find me somewhere between staying up too late binge-watching a good show, travelling whenever I can, catching up with friends over a lot of laughter, and somewhere in between family life, running a business, remembering to take my vitamins, and attempting some form of exercise. I also try to carve out time to read or walk in nature whenever I can. Like many of my clients, I'm continually learning that taking care of ourselves is an ongoing practice rather than a destination.

Credentials and Training

I bring both formal training and ongoing professional development to my work. Here's a little more on my background.

Still getting a feel for things?

That makes sense. Reading about someone and actually talking to them are two very different things. If anything on this page resonated with you, a free discovery call is the easiest next step. Fifteen minutes, no pressure, just a conversation to see if it feels right.
